5th Annual Business Halloween Costume Contest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce was once again successful. There were 13 businesses entered in the contest consisting of 19 different groups or departments with 128 individuals dressing in costumes. The Costume Contest Committee members want to take this opportunity to thank every business and each employee for making this year’s event the most successful ever held. A special thank you is extended to Paula Rogers, Telfair County Chamber of Commerce and Debbie Bullard, Development Authority of Telfair County, for taking time out of their busy schedules to serve as contest Judges. The judges were simply amazed at how everyone participated with such enthusiasm. The originality, creativity and group performances were outstanding, and for this reason, there was also a 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up named this year. The pictures from the contest will certainly show the caliber of costumes worn this year. All participants were invited to a “dutch treat” lunch at Village Pizza to show off their costumes, and approximately 50 were able to leave their respective businesses to attend. Contestants are already making plans for next year and we can hardly wait!
