The 3rd Annual Golfing with the Stars night golf tournament, a 4-man scramble, was held Saturday, September 15th at the Jeff Davis Recreation Golf Course.  The Chamber wants to thank the teams that participated in the tournament as well as the business and individual sponsors of the event. The following is a list of sponsors for this year’s event: Aaron’s Sales & Lease; Altamaha Bank; Amy Lynne Signs; Preston Bohannon - Candidate for Sheriff; Arthur Buford -Candidate for Sheriff; Business Solutions; Chip’s Discount Drugs; Coleman Tire & Auto; Dairy Queen; Davis Farm & Garden; Valerie Mason of Farm Bureau; Farmers Home Furniture; Georgia Power Company; Globe Financial Services; H & R Block; Handy Andy; Hazlehurst Automotive Parts; Bank of Hazlehurst; Heritage Bank of the South; Jeff Davis Hospital; Jeff Davis Ledger; PalletOne; Paul McNeal - Candidate for Probate Judge; Showcase Publications; Southeastern Bank; Southern Eyecare; Triple H Specialty; Trowell Insurance; Wal-Mart; Whitfield & Butler; Whitfield Realty; Williams Brothers Trucking; and Woody Folsom Automotive.   Pizza Hut and Village Pizza provided pizzas for the players.  The Chamber wants to especially thank the Jeff Davis Recreation Department Staff for providing volunteers to set-up the night course and clean-up on Sunday morning.  James Crump volunteered to serve as the witness for the hole-in-one contest and the Chamber also thanks him for giving of his time.

1st Flight winning team consisting of Josh Turner, Ed Edwards, Jake Batten and Mitch Bargstadt was awarded a $400 prize. 2nd Flight winning team consisting of Jimmy Maley, Daniel Maley, Jimmy Hardin and John Burnette was awarded a $400 prize. Richard Wooten won the Closest to the Pin Contest of $25 cash and a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. Ray Wooten won the Longest Drive Contest of $25 cash and a $25 Wal-Mart gift card.  John Burnette won the drawing for the Digital Camera donated by Aaron’s Sales & Lease as sponsor of the Night Glow items return.  Unfortunately we had to return the 2012 Camaro to Woody Folsom Automotive who was the generous sponsor of the Hole-in-One Contest.  Each player was presented with a golf towel and bag of tees by the Heritage Bank of the South.  The night portion of the golf tournament is especially fun for the golfers, but also for the spectators who enjoy the lights along the course.
